Summer is here, which means the youth’s annual World Changers trip is upon us. As the youth and chaperones head out the middle of the month, we ask you continue to keep them in your thoughts and prayers. I know there will be many stories of adventure, learning, and worship upon their return. We would like to thank each of you that have donated time, money and energy to make this trip happen.
On May 12th the youth were out in the community helping with the USPS annual canned food drive. We would like to extend a BIG thank you to the youth and adults who helped with this event. In addition, the youth will continue to serve in this mission by placing nonperishable food collection containers around the church. We want to ensure the Food Pantry is stocked and available to help those who might be in need in our church and in the community.
We will be planning other fun adventures and community minded projects for the summer, stay tuned for dates and announcements. We started the Spirit nights again at Chick-fil-A – Davenport, Beef O’Bradys – Davenport and The Grille at Cypresswood – Winter Haven…watch the bulletin for announcements for June dates.
We would greatly appreciate your support for these Spirit nights!

Well folks, it’s almost that time again. With the school year ending that means we are nearing the end of our AWANA year. Our final AWANA night will be June 6, and that very next Wednesday we will be meeting from 6:30 to 7:30 for our Rooted Kids Wednesday nights. If your Child is attending CentriKid and you like to purchase a camper care package then please have that money turned in no later than June 1st, and if you are planning on purchasing one of those then please let Noel Ortiz know.
As always we are looking for volunteers who would like to serve in the Rooted Children’s ministry, if you’re interested please contact Noel Ortiz at 863-289-9437

You have never met him, but there is a little boy getting ready to move to Davenport. His mom and dad are not believers and have not been to church since they were children. They are so busy making a living that they have very little time for this young boy. He has a lot of things, but he does not have time. He has very little time with his parents and what he wants is a mom and dad that spends time with him and teaches him all the things he needs to know. God sees this and is making plans to introduce this little boy and his mom and dad to Jesus.
God is creating a place where people will love this little boy and share the greatest story ever told. This special place will have special godly people who will be gentle and kind. They will tell him about Jesus and put a desire in his heart to give his life to Jesus. God knows this little boy will then take Jesus home with him and he will introduce Jesus to his mom and dad. Their lives will change. Their hearts will be touched and their life of earth will find purpose and joy. Their soul will now be destined for heaven. All because a group of believers trusted God to use the resources he provided to create a ministry that touched hearts and changed lives. I hope you see the same thing I see. This God honoring, Christ exalting, life changing daycare that put Jesus in the heart of this little boy who took him home with him and helped his mom and dad accept Jesus. There is a great opportunity in front of us to make that story I just shared a common occurrence. All it will take is the prayers of his people and a willingness to give so that this daycare will become a reality. Please pray about what God would want you to give to make this happen.
